Reproduction of the Riha Chalice

One of our most challenging projects: The reconstruction of the historical Riha Chalice.

From photos and measurements submitted by the client, we began manufacturing the chalice. The cup was hand-raised: The silversmith forms the cup by hammering on a flat silver sheet; a difficult and time-consuming process. The letters/symbols where hand-engraved. They differ from the original as we adapted letters submitted by the client.

The inside of the cup has a hammered finish whereas the outside has a smoother finish.
Finally the interior of the chalice was gilded as well as parts on the outside.
